The National Federation of Hungarian Building Contractors was founded in October 1989. At present it has approximately 500 member organisations. Along the most prestigious Hungarian building employers, numerous small- and medium-sized enterprises are members of ÉVOSZ who is representing the interests of Hungarian building employers on national and international level. 

EVOSZ promotes the contact care and information exchange between member organisations as well as between Hungarian and international organisations. It also promotes the technical and professional development of the construction industry and prepares the members for joining the European Union.
